Hi, I’m Rebecca.

Rebecca Tofield, LPC (she/her) Licensed Professional Counselor | Therapeutic Yoga Teacher | Scottsdale, AZ

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, therapeutic yoga teacher, and lifelong student of the ways our bodies, hearts, and stories hold experience. I am honored to walk alongside women of all ages as they move through grief, loss, and the transitions that reshape who we are.

About Alora

The work I'm called to do

The name Alora came to me as a feeling before it became a word.

Something that carried light, and warmth, and the sense of being guided toward healing. That feeling is what my practice is built on: that grief is sacred work, that every woman who finds her way here carries her own light, and that healing begins when we are truly witnessed and held.

In our work together, I hold steady alongside you, witnessing what has been lost, what has changed, and what is still unfolding. So you do not have to carry it alone.

What I bring with me

My path into this work is both professional and deeply personal. I have lived through divorce and solo parenting, caregiving for loved ones, shattering loss and the grief that followed, the evolving identity of motherhood, and the physical and emotional terrain of the menopause journey. These chapters shaped who I am and how I sit with others: with humility, patience, and a deep respect for the courage it takes to move through change.

Like many of the women I serve, I know anxiety from the inside out. Over time, I came to understand that this is simply how my brain works. Through that acceptance, I continue to deepen my ability to navigate my inner and outer world with greater steadiness and self-trust. That lived understanding informs how I support others in building nervous system awareness and a kinder, more trusting lifelong relationship with themselves.

My professional roots in movement and wellness

Before Alora, I founded and operated a boutique yoga studio grounded in therapeutic and rehabilitative movement, where healing happened in ways that words alone couldn't always reach. Over time, I felt called to deepen this work. Becoming a therapist allowed me to walk alongside others in an even more attuned way, honoring both the wisdom of the body and the meaning-making of the mind and heart.

healing

How healing happens here

The body is central to everything I do. Our experiences, emotions, and memories live in the body as much as in the mind, and healing often unfolds as we gently reconnect with what is present there. In sessions, I blend reflective conversation with experiential practices, mindfulness, intuitive movement, and body-based awareness. Together we meet grief and emotional pain as experiences we carry rather than identities that define us.

For some women, spirituality or faith is also part of this work. Whether that means finding meaning within a religious tradition, wrestling with a belief that has been shaken by loss, or simply feeling held by something larger than yourself, there is room for that here. I follow your lead.

My approach is person-centered and strengths-based, respectful of your pace, your history, and your lived truth. I pursue ongoing training so that my work stays current and worthy of the trust you place in it.
